About Us
The Coatesville Historical Society was created in early 2019 with the goal of capturing and recording Coatesvilles history. This is being donw through the documentation of old records, gathering of vintage town photos, interviewing and gathering stories of long-time Coatesville residents, and obtaining old artifacts related to Coatesvilles historic past.
Our ultimate goal is to one day have the articfacts housed in a location that they can be on display to the public. We have gathered some great items to date and are gathering many great stories.
You can contribute in many ways.
1) We meet regularly (at least once per quarter). Dates are on the website calendar.
2) If you have an old Coatesville story, we'd love to hear it.
3) If you have any old photographs from around town from long ago, we'd love
to see them and take a photograph of your photo(s).
4) If you have any old artifacts from Coatesville or anything Coatesville branded you
would like to donate, or simply display on a temporary basis once we have space
to show these items, we welcome it.
5) If you would like to help conduct research, we welcome that.
As you can see, we have many opportunities available, plus you may have another idea on how to contribute which we'd love to hear.
To get involved, check out the event calendar on this website and locate the next meeting date (usually the third Thursday in April and October). Or you can always contact us directly with your name, contact information and how you would like to help out by emailing [email protected]. Be sure to note in the subject like "Historical Society".
